The nature of the relief being sought is as follows: Foreclosure sale to satisfy unpaid property taxes owing to Burke County on your interest in the property described as follows: BEGINNING on an iron stake in the old Roper line (now Abernethy) Elijah Caldwell's corner in his home lot, and runs with Elijah Caldwell's line South 69° East 25 feet to an iron pipe in the Southwest corner of Lot No. 3; thence with the line of Lot No. 3, North 21 1/2° East 176 feet to an iron pipe in Dave Caldwell's line, the Northwest corner of Lot No. 3; thence North 56° West with David Caldwell's line, 75 feet to an iron pipe in Roper's (now Abernethy) line; thence with the old Roper (now Abernethy) South 4° West 194 feet to the BEGINNING and containing better than 18/100 of an acre, more or less. Subject to easements, restrictions and rights of way of record, and matters of survey. Also being identified as REID 12663, Burke County Tax Office. Address: 108 Roper Street Plaintiff seeks to extinguish any and all claims and interests that you may have in the property, to have a commissioner appointed to sell the Property and to deliver to the purchaser a deed to said real estate in fee simple, free and clear of all encumbrances, and that the interests and equities of redemption of the Defendants in the property be forever barred and foreclosed. You are required to make defense to such pleading not later than June 15, 2021 and upon your failure to do so the party seeking service against you will apply to the court for the relief sought.
