Music duo the Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs, with Eddie McGee, will offer a fun afternoon performance in the Arts & Education Plaza.

Fans have described their music as "effortlessly complex," and blues legend Henry Turner Jr. calls it "funky mountain music."

Blending traditional with trippy, they have played throughout the United States and internationally, including slots at the Anchorage Folk Festival, Mill Farm Music (UK), Rockwood Music Hall, Piedmont Folkways, and more.

They aim to create a concoction of music that gets toes tapping and heads bobbing, and maybe make some friends along the way. Frequent guest Eddie McGee will add piano wizardry.

This performance is being presented as part of the High Point Public Library's 100th anniversary celebration series.
