Killian’s Irish Red Despite its name, Killian’s Irish Red is brewed exclusively in America, and Coors has owned the name since 1980. 3. St. Patty’s Day A common mistake by Americans is referring to the holiday as "St. Patty’s Day". In Ireland, Patty is short for Patricia, not Patrick. The Irish instead refer to the holiday as "Paddy’s Day".
