SpaceX has reportedly raised $850 million in a recent round of funding. This means that the company will now have a valuation of about $74 billion. SpaceX was last valued at $46 billion in a fundraising round that took place in August 2020. According to CNBC, SpaceX raised the new funds with a share price of $419.99. This share price is just one cent below $420, which could be a reference to a Twitter post CEO Elon Musk made in 2018. In the post, Musk joked that he would take Tesla private at $420 with “funding secured”. This recent round of funding comes as SpaceX is looking to raise capital for its ambitious Starship and Starlink projects.
