FRISCO, Texas — For the second year in a row, a program-best five members of the Catawba College women's golf program have been named WGCA All-American Scholars, the organization announced Monday.

Taya Buxton, Rachel Carlson, Mary-Paige King, Sara Kristinsdottir and Hannah Waddell are the Catawba Indians' honorees. King is a three-time winner of the award, matching Eileen Purpur for the most All-American Scholar selections in program history. Buxton, Carlson and Kristinsdottir have now won it twice following their recognition from the 2024-25 campaign, each student-athlete's first at Catawba. Waddell is the lone golfer in the group who is a first-time honoree.

To be selected, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, play in 50% of the team's regularly scheduled rounds and remain on the team through the conclusion of the season.

Out of the 1,551 golfers named to the list at all levels, the South Atlantic Conference has 13 representatives as Anderson and Lincoln Memorial had four apiece.
