Bristol, Va. – The King University men's swimming team defeated Mars Hill 128-67 at home, winning nine events in the dual meet.

Roger Vega Cuevas got the Tornado going in the distance races, winning the 500-yard freestyle in 5:14.62.

Carlos Arias was a double winner in the individual medley races. He took the 200-yard IM in 1:58.46 and then won the 100-yard IM in 53.80.

Cristobal Amiel also picked up two wins on the day. Amiel won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:47.81, then returned to take the 100-yard freestyle in 47.62.

In the sprints, Fabio Ricci touched first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.12. Matthew Montenegro-Strunk won the 100-yard butterfly in 53.83, and Simeon Wesner took the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.26.

King closed out the meet by winning the 200-yard freestyle relay. Arias, Montenegro-Strunk, Amiel, and Ricci combined for a time of 1:28.20.
